Cleanliness is essential for every person, regardless of their gender. Apart from allowing people around you to remain comfortable, it also boosts your confidence and self-esteem. Unfortunately, females and males approach hygiene practices in different ways. Research shows that men are less likely to wash their hands after handling a pet than women. Continue scrolling to discover the tips you must adhere to as a man.

Dental Hygiene

This is one of the most overlooked hygiene practices, especially by men. Oral health is critical in maintaining personal hygiene, and you should brush your teeth at least twice daily. Also, remember to scrub your tongue at least once per day and use dental floss to ensure you clean your teeth properly. If not cleaned properly, the tongue can provide a convenient place for bacteria growth, leading to oral health issues. Therefore, you should clean your tongue correctly to avoid bad breath.

Facial hygiene

Unlike women, most men tend to use the same soap to clean the entire body, including the face. Ideal facial hygiene requires one to use a face wash or cleanser at least twice a day for maximum face protection. You should avoid using a body scrub, soap, or body gel as they usually upset your skin’s natural pH balance and strip off essential skin moisture. As a result, your skin becomes dry and irritated and could even result in health complications. You can use face masks but remember there is a mask for each skin type. Masking your face helps remove blackheads, especially around the chin, nose, or cheeks. Ensure you know your skin type before using any facial product.

Hair Hygiene

Proper grooming and hair hygiene are essential, as most people tend to judge you from your appearance. Keeping your nasal, facial, and head hair clean and well-trimmed is crucial. You should shave frequently and utilize the appropriate beard grooming tools and products. Unlike before, today, you can undertake head or beard hair shaving individually. You just have to get a clipper and trimmer kit with all the necessary hair-trimming tools. Also, remember to keep your pubic and underarm hair cut and clean always.

Foot Hygiene

Typically, your feet will develop dead skin after some period. Also, your toenails will grow long and start collecting and storing dirt. If you notice this, it is time to cut them short. Remember to trim the skin flaps on the nail sides and cuticles. You can apply cream or hand lotion on your feet to maintain softness while preventing cracking and calluses. If you cannot do this alone, you can regularly visit a parlor for a manicure or pedicure.

Keep your body moisturized.

Most men overlook moisturizing their bodies and consider this practice important for women only. However, males should also apply lotion to their entire bodies and moisturize their lips. Moisturizing your lips through licking is not ideal, as it can result in a dry mouth and cracked lips.

It is essential to maintain proper hygiene at all times. Let your grooming introduce you!
